The Lamestream Liberal Media is building a false narrative to sell their veiwers.

My preferred term these days is 'illegal foreign entrant' to differentiate them from 'immigrants' who entered the country legally.

Libs need to conflate legal immigrants with illegal border crossers to create the narative that Trump's deportation policies are White Nationalist Xenophobic Ethnic Cleansing.

There's no legal or moral justification for illegal border crossers to remain in the United States.  Any back-dated 'legal' status the Biden Admin gave them is crap.  If they crossed the Border illegaly, they have no business remaining within the United Sates.

It's odd how you feel personally attacked with any criticism of the President.

What odd is that since 2015 you're suffering chronic butt hurt over Donald J. Trump.

National polls were only off by about a point in the 2024 election.  But the trend is most important, and it is clearly heading in the wrong direction, no matter which survey you choose.  He needs to resolve his tariff mess or he's going to be a lame duck by summer.

No way politically will Pres. Trump be a lame duck at anytime during his presidency. His base is so big and loyal anything the legacy media throws at him will be ignored.

In fact his base is growing if you look at young men and suburban women with children. RFK jr and MAHA is a great step forward and Pete Hegseth at DOD has inspired another generation of young men to embrace masculinity rather than wokeism.

The tariff mess is going to turn into a great plus. We hear a lot of complaining from the elites and their dogs in the media because 88% of equities are owned by those in the top 10% income bracket. Pres. Trump supporters aren't going anywhere and if it takes years to see the benefits of onshoring manufacturing it's worth it. Any Establishment loyalists in the Pub party that get weak knees will find their replacements right behind them.

This reminds me of all the "Trump is Furious!" headlines from his first term. They were desperate to portray Trump as 'losing control' and 'on the defensive' no matter what the issue was about. 'Trump is Furious' was so common, almost daily, that it became a meme.

IF Trump falls into the 30s he may still have a death grip on the GOP faithful, but the fragile majority in congress will gradually abandon him.  Border security is still broadly popular.  The other stuff he has done in the first 100 days ... or in some cases, the way he has done it ... is a net loser of votes.

That is not to say the damage is irreparable, but he needs some wins soon.

Voted for him 3 times... in 2020 because I thought he handled the economy well. This time for lack of a better option. So you're wrong.

Never said you didn't vote for him.

But your posting history over the past decade tells all of us what you actually think/feel about him.

Thanks....
Through this whole damned thing, I have not heard even one decent alternative to Trump's plan.  Even as we stare down a $38T fiscal deficit, and an annual trade deficit of over a Trillion dollars a year.   The direction we are going is not sustainable.  In the real world of 40 years ago, and RWR, the concept of free trade was tanglbile and achievable, but now some mid course adjustments are needed to infuse some needed equity.

Let's also not forget that Trump is the first in my historical memory who has taken this seriously, with DOGE and gutting the regulatory presence that threw this country into bureaucratic hell.  I'm sad we have conservatives that have taken the MSM bait,. but we'll see how this plays out.  If it does go as planned, it will usher in a great era of prosperity,

Foolish and wrong-headed.

The reason it won't work is as I have described before: There is no alternative product to purchase.

A tariff on foreign good used to promote the sale of on-shore goods means the tax payer (you and me) has a choice and can avoid the tax. But often times there is no on-shore alternative. Shoot, do you remember nearly a full year's worth of ford pickups sitting at production waiting for a stupid chip?

That same thing will certainly happen again. Without alternatives, the only solution is to pay the tax and wait, since the added paperwork and regulation slows the delivery.

That means shortages and slowed production along with higher cost. All stupid and unnecessary. And useless, btw, unless someone is there at the end of four years to carry it onward. Because 3 or 4 years is short enough to sit and wait - much cheaper to do that instead of the crazy costs involved in moving production stateside.

Any victory here will be Pyrrhic at best... and very easily no victory at all.

For somebody who couldn’t wait to quote polls during the Republican primary when Trump was surpassing his opponents, all of a sudden when polling doesn’t align with your view, the polling is suddenly suspect. happy77

Despite your denials, I think you know the polls are accurate. So does the president. That explains his meltdown over them

Oh, I had no illusions that Donald Trump was not going be the republican nominee.

There was this same level of denial of Donald Trump’s unpopularity back in 2017. Then the 2018 midterms came. The Democrats gained 40 House seats, several governorships including Kansas of all unlikely places, and control of over 300 state legislative seats

Who knew that having  billionaires tell the American people to just suck it up and endure the pain when it comes to their economic anxieties and well being  would  be unpopular…lol

Maybe the GOP could use Benny Johnson’s line that losing money costs you nothing and it builds character? Should be a winning platform.

‘How can that be possibly correct?’ Pollster describes inconsistency in report showing Trump ‘in free fall’
April 29, 2025 | Hailey Gomez

Pollster Matt Towery said Monday on “The Ingraham Angle” that he doesn’t believe polls that say voters have lost confidence in President Donald Trump.

With Trump nearly hitting 100 days in office, new polls from outlets like ABC News, CBS News, and CNN have shown a drop in voters’ confidence in him. Fox host Laura Ingraham asked Towery which of the polls concerns him the most and why.

“None of them, to be honest with you. I have a group of pollsters I look at who are public pollsters who’ve been right in all three of Trump’s cycles,” Towery said. “We happen to be one of those. None of us have had him down by any of these numbers we’ve seen before. The only one that might concern me at all is the Fox News one because Fox did well in the 24 cycle.”

“So that’s the only one of these other ones — I looked at some of them. I don’t like to criticize polling, but how can you have a poll, as John McLaughlin, a good friend of mine, pointed out, how could you have a poll that shows Donald Trump at 39%?” Towery asked. “But yet when you ask people who they voted for and they said they voted for Trump, 95% said they would vote for him again.”

Stop Getting Psyop-ed By Garbage Polls About Trump
By: Beth Brelje
April 29, 2025

Which is more plausible: the lying media has suddenly discovered accurate polling data? Or Trump supporters are not being polled?

excerpt:
Quote
In anticipation of Trump’s first 100 days in office, the propaganda press whipped up stories about his approval ratings, using shaky polling as the foundation of their reporting. Each used different parameters. But when a poll is purchased or administered by a bias news outlet, the results are skewed.

Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 39 percent, according to a joint ABC News/Washington Post poll by the left leaning pollster Ipsos.

“The previous low in approval for a president at or near 100 days in office, in polls dating to 1945, was Trump’s 42 [percent] in 2017,” ABC’s Gary Langer reported. It is hard to trust ABC’s Trump coverage after its biased moderation against Trump in the 2024 presidential debates, or after the $15 million defamation settlement ABC agreed to pay Trump.

CNN’s poll by SSRS Research, an online and telephone poll of just 1,678 people, reported Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 41 percent. SSRS is so “accurate” that it consistently found losing presidential candidate Kamala Harris had a slight edge in the 2024 race that Trump resoundingly won.

The New York Times/Siena College poll of just 913 people (including 190 who did not complete the entire survey) was conducted on the phone and reached a mix of English and Spanish speakers. It found Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 42 percent.

NBC wrote its own poll and put it on Survey Monkey for nine days. It got almost 20,000 respondents who gave Trump a 45 percent approval rating. Not bad for a poll of NBC consumers who are unlikely to be Trump supporters.

The coordinated polls trotted out this week came to the same conclusion: Trump’s approval rating is tanking, his base is losing faith in him, and Trump is freaking out about it, so, they seem to be telegraphing, you may as well give up on him.

TBF, there is probably a poll bias against Trump of a few points... but just a few. Look at the projected results vs. actual of the last few presidential cycles.

Carville: Trump Polls ‘Across-the-Board Horrific,’ He Will Be in Low 30s Soon

Pam Key 29 Apr 2025

Democratic strategist James Carville said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that President Donald Trump’s poll numbers are going to get worse.

During an appearance on Fox News, political analyst Karl Rove said, “When it comes to the economy, this is where it’s a little trickier, and this is where his numbers have gone south.”

Carville said, “So I watch Karl, and he’s exactly right. When you’ve seen a lot of polls like Karl has in his career or I’ve seen or it’s worse than you think when you look at, you know, sometimes you look at a poll and you see some numbers and you go and say, well, this is a little more. It’s across-the-board horrific for him. I think that’s what Karl was trying to say.”

He continued, “Around Labor Day, I think these numbers are going to be even worse because the underlying support for him is even worse than the top-line support for him.”

Carville added, “I think people just don’t see — they don’t see a strategy behind it. They don’t see any thought behind it. They just see an impulsive guy going from one unpopular thing to another. We just got to come back in and really, really clock him hard on his legislative stuff. These Republicans know that’s coming. If we just stay unified, stay unified and keep hitting them on that, we’re going to drag that. This 39 is going to turn into 34.”

Biden never hit below 30 because the books are cooked.  If Trump falls below that we know the books are cooked.
