North Korea Rails at US for Sending Long-Range Bomber to Doorstep
Story by Ryan Chan • 1w
Another pair of American long-range bombers were tracked heading toward Japan on Friday after North Korea blamed the United States for "escalating tension" and "inciting confrontation."
On Tuesday, two U.S. Air Force B-1B bombers flew to South Korea for training and arrived at Misawa Air Base for the first rotational Bomber Task Force deployment mission in Japan.
Why It Matters
The U.S. military frequently mobilizes its assets, including aircraft carriers, nuclear-powered submarines, bombers, and spy planes, around the Korean Peninsula, serving as a deterrent to nuclear-armed North Korea, which continues threatening the U.S., Japan and South Korea.
