Terrorism works?
By Earick Ward

Following the Tesla Q1 earnings call and a profit drop of 71%, Elon Musk has announced his imminent departure from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

A longtime hero of the left due to his work on global warming initiatives — solar panels and electric vehicles — Elon Musk began to fall out of favor initially when he bought Twitter, announcing that he wanted to defend “freedom of speech.”  He became an absolute enemy of the left when he joined the Trump administration as the titular head of the Department of Government Efficiency.

In the initial months of Elon’s work with DOGE, he uncovered countless government programs that were rife with waste, fraud in abuse, from USAID to the Treasury Department, the Department of Education, the EPA, and the Social Security Department.

At first, Democrats held press conferences outside respective agencies, pounding their fists and announcing that Elon was “unelected.”  They then moved on to spouting lies about Elon accessing governmental databases for the purpose of “stealing personal information from the American people.”

When these tactics didn’t move the needle, they activated their shock troops to attack Elon personally, by firebombing Tesla dealerships and attacking Tesla owners, in an effort to punish Elon for daring to work with the Trump administration to root out fraud and abuse.

Well, as of today, these terrorist activities can be deemed a success.

Tesla (and Elon) has taken a huge financial hit.  Elon has announced his departure from DOGE.

El Salvador put an end to terrorism. We can too. The problem is a lack of will to put an end to this crap.

Terrorism hasn't been working well for Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and Iran lately.

The key component of terrorism is fear.  Fear is the surrender to terrorism.

Terror works to a point ... that point is when people realize they're dead already and figure out that they have nothing left to lose.  That's why it's been so difficult to hijack airplanes since 9/11.  The passengers no longer believe the terrorists will let them live, so they act accordingly.

Terrorists calculate that their marks aren't willing to take the hits necessary to hit back and win.

The difference between those who play contact sports - hockey, football, basketball, and occasionally baseball - and those who play non-contact sports - like soccer - is for those that play contact sports, taking hits is a necessary part of the sport, and they teach themselves to lose the natural fear of getting hit.  Otherwise, they play scared and that is a recipe for losing.

Many Congressional Republicans are playing scared, while Trump is not.  That's why the GOP belongs to Trump - he knows getting hit is part of the sport.

Amen.

Some on this board would use the 'law of due process' to protect terrorism from being eradicated instead of fighting back in the same manner terrorists use.

Those people who think the Constitution is a suicide pact will be the first to go when this republic comes to an end.

Tesla owners and dealers can take a play from Libs' book, and sue individuals and organizations in Civil Court to bankrupt them.

Also, RICO laws could be used to infiltrate and bring to account organized groups that foment terrorist acts, fund raise off terrorist activities, and those who make financial contributions to domestic terror organizations and conspiracies.

Criminal prosecution is not the only means to defang these miscreants.

I wouldn't be surprised if radicals were getting some funding from 'reputable' institutes and foundations.

Lawfare is just another form of terrorism when it puts people in fear of being sued.

And that would be the basis for IRS involvement as is little chance taxes are being paid on the income received by the perps/

I'll reckon that the drop in Tesla sales has more to do with buyers eschewing electric cars in general, than it has with any "terroristic" actions by miscreants.

The market is starting to "move back" from the electric vehicle craze.
