I have been reflecting on my own stupidity and how my life was profoundly enriched and made wonderful by the woman who chose me, more than I chose her. As a teenager in college, I was on the fast track to nowhere, despite thinking I was a pretty smart guy.
My wife to be knew she wanted to marry me because she was decades ahead of me in wisdom. She was the oldest of six girls and had more responsibility than she ever wanted, but it made her my wonderful wife. On the contrary, I grew up alone and without a father to guide and teach me. I deeply regret my countless stupid actions and I am certainly not alone.
So my advice to all young men and boys is simply this: LISTEN to the women in your lives, and listen good!
"Yes dear" is your wisest response. I know from decades of successful marriage to an angel.
Sixty-four percent (64%) of atheists are men.
Eighty percent (80%) of suicides are men.
Ninety-three percent (90%) of prisoners are men.
Are you getting the point?
Starting with your first date, treat your lady with kindness, patience and gratitude for the blessings she will bestow upon your otherwise miserable life. You will never regret spoiling and taking the best care of her in every way possible - vacations, gifts, notes, sweet talk.
But you will suffer long term for getting angry and shooting off your mouth when you should have been calm and patient instead. It's too late for me to go back and undo my errors that give me grief every single day. It's not too late for you young men to get your minds right.
You hear?!
