Some people seem to have a very odd idea of what is meant by "equal treatment under the law."
And an equally odd idea of what actually is a Christian, I suspect.
The report, under the auspices of major Catholic and evangelical organizations
As laid out in Megan Basham's book, "Shepherds for Sale," (Chapter 2) it's probable that these organizations are funded by leftist foundations. For example, she reported, "Evangelical Immigration Table," a group lobbying for migrant amnesty in the name of Jesus, is funded by George Soros. When they pontificate on the poor illegals, and an undiscerning news media report this as some kind of official Christian point of view, they're speaking for ol' George - not God.
As stated on the inside front cover of Basham's book, "Progressive power brokers - from George Soros to the founder of eBay to former members of the Obama administration - set out to change the American church. Secular foundations and think tanks have deliberately targeted Christian media, universities, megachurches, nonprofits and even entire denominations ... Their goal: to co-opt the church for political purposes."
