For decades, the Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) has been a cornerstone of the U.S. Marine Corps, transporting troops and cargo from ship to shore. With its 29-ton combat weight, armored protection, and amphibious capabilities, this vehicle has played a crucial role in military operations. But as modern threats evolve, the AAV is being replaced by the advanced Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV). Is this the end of an era for one of the most iconic landing craft in U.S. military history?
