The world’s richest man is dying to figure out how lawmakers on Capitol Hill got “strangely wealthy” despite their comparatively modest public salaries.

Speaking at a town hall in Wisconsin Sunday night, Elon Musk suggested that his team at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) will investigate how certain members of Congress have achieved generational wealth.

One attendee at the town hall had asked Musk if DOGE had uncovered evidence of funds wired from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

“They’ll [the government] send the money overseas to one NGO [non-governmental organization], then they’ll go through a bunch of them, and then I’m highly confident that a bunch of that money then comes back to the United States and lands in the pockets of the people you just mentioned,” Musk replied.

“But it is a circuitous route. It doesn’t go directly, but let’s just say that there’s a lot of strangely wealthy members of Congress where I’m trying to connect the dots of, ‘How do they become rich?'”

The real sandal is the IRS. If anyone reading this went from negative $100,000 to plus $10,000,000 in one year, the IRS would be up our ass demanding to know where the money came from. But, this happens in Congress every single year and they are never questioned or audited.

Where did all of Biden's money come from? This question has been asked continuously for the last 5 years with no answer.

The trouble is that the corruption by which most members of Congress got rich is a corruption of the law itself, and thus not the sort of corruption that can be prosecuted:  they exempted themselves from insider-trading laws.  No graft, no selling of favors, just knowing what the government is going to do in advance, thanks to things learned in committee, or from other members that they learned in committee, and a good sense of how the market in particular sectors will react.

Is the 200% stock increase on par with Hillary Clinton's big score in the cattle futures market?

A 200% stock value increase is a great untraditional way to compensate a member of Congress for a lobbyist, and a foreign lobbyist at that.

She should have published a book that makes millions for her even though nobody actually buys it or reads it.  That's how the cool kids in Congress launder their bribe money.  Or maybe start a 'foundation' or an 'institute'.  Those are also great channels for current and former political officials to launder bribe money.

Sometimes you got to cut off the head to make progress.  Last night on Watters, he reported that Jeffries is bitching in the back hall about Pelosi still running things behind the scenes. 

I think the tails of demise of Pelosi and Schumer are way over-exaggerated. These are both masterful political tacticians, who while getting there, will kill to stay in power.
