Dang it, how can California compete with that, all we gots is earthquakes, fires and floods, those  states have fires, floods, tornadoes, hailstorms, and now earthquakes too!

The newly identified fault line stretches across parts of Tennessee, Missouri, and Arkansas. It’s closely related to the New Madrid Seismic Zone, but this one is bigger, deeper, and sneakier. Scientists only detected it using advanced satellite imaging and ground-penetrating tech

I remember 30+ years ago when the big one was supposed to hit Missouri. People packed up their cars with food and emergency supplies, but the predicted day of the quake came and went, without incident. This one, I assume, is more likely.

Basically if the New Madrid or this new fault rips off like it did last time it's game over anyway, and I'm not going to lose sleep over the possibility.
