He ordered the plane(s) to turn around, mid-flight, without any regard for their fuel situation or anything else.

The court order was defied...they are  back in Venezuela.  It's not clear whether Trump defied the order or Rubio.

Marco Rubio, Nayib Bukele Celebrate Deportations After Judge Fails to Help Tren de Aragua Criminals

Neil Munro 16 Mar 2025

President Donald Trump’s deputies deported 261 criminal migrants to detention centers in El Salvador, beating a U.S. judge’s desperate attempt to block the international enforcement of the nation’s immigration laws.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio thanked the president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, for accepting 238 Venezuelan migrants:

We have sent 2 dangerous top MS-13 leaders plus 21 of its most wanted back to face justice in El Salvador. Also, as promised by @POTUS, we sent over 250 alien enemy members of Tren de Aragua which El Salvador has agreed to hold in their very good jails at a fair price that will also save our taxpayer dollars. President  @nayibbukele is not only the strongest security leader in our region, he’s also a great friend of the U.S. Thank you!

Trump is using the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to speed the deportation of Venezuelan criminals past pro-migration lawsuits.

As much as I hate to admit it, so far Rubio is doing a good job.

These judges are outside their authority and jurisdiction, not to mention making rulings that are not based on law or legal principle, just vague proclamations of things like 'irreparable harm'.

It's time for the Admin to ignore them, appeal, and force SCOTUS to rule one way or another.

Executive (Discretionary) Duties (Not Subject to Judicial Interference)
These are duties where the President has policy-based discretion, meaning courts cannot order or prohibit the exercise of such functions.

Examples:

Pardon Power
The President has absolute discretion to issue or deny a pardon under Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution. Courts cannot force the President to grant a pardon.
Commander-in-Chief Decisions
The President’s military decisions, including troop deployments, orders to engage in combat, or withdrawal from treaties, are discretionary and not subject to judicial review.
Foreign Policy and Treaty Negotiations
The President has discretion over recognizing foreign governments (Zivotofsky v. Kerry), conducting diplomacy, and negotiating treaties. Courts cannot compel the President to engage in or alter diplomatic relations.
Executive Orders and Policy Prioritization
Decisions regarding enforcement priorities, such as prosecutorial discretion in immigration and national security (United States v. Texas)(United States ex rel. Knauff v. Shaughnessy (1950)), are generally beyond judicial interference.
Appointments and Removals of Officials
The President has discretion over firing executive officers (Myers v. United States). Courts cannot force the President to retain or remove an official unless removal is statutorily restricted.

The deportations took place.  Shouldn't AG Bondi have warned the judge that his ruling was inconsequential and out of line, perhaps even illegal??

So tell me, what is AG Bondi doing these days?

Trump thanks El Salvador for taking in alleged gang members deported from US: ‘We will not forget’
Dramatic video showed the alleged gang members being processed as they arrived at El Salvador's Terrorism Confinement Center
By Andrea Margolis , Lucas Y. Tomlinson , Bill Melugin Fox News
Published March 16, 2025 5:55pm EDT

President Donald Trump thanked El Salvador on Sunday after the country's president shared dramatic video of hundreds of alleged migrant criminals landing in Central America after being deported from the U.S.

Trump, who recently invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, which allows the deportation of natives and citizens of an enemy nation without a hearing, thanked Nayib Bukele on social media.

"Thank you to El Salvador and, in particular, President Bukele, for your understanding of this horrible situation, which was allowed to happen to the United States because of incompetent Democrat leadership," Trump wrote. "We will not forget!"

Trump also referred to the apprehended migrants as "the monsters sent into our Country by Crooked Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats."

Trump has the right to deport period.  The judges are committing treason; they are in essence aiding our enemies and they need to be impeached.  The House needs to bring up impeachment proceedings.

As for SCOTUS, I have my doubts whether or not Roberts or Barrett would side with Trump and America.

Ignore and appeal, simple as that.

No, but we have a SCOTUS who in Trump's first administration sided with the leftists.  Some of the justices have not remained apolitical.

I believe he will.  He has the authority.  I still think the House needs to start impeachment proceedings on these judges. DEMS favorability is at an all time low -- perhaps the GOP could get the votes needed to impeach.  It's worth trying.

The court's order is available for download and review here:  https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.278436/gov.uscourts.dcd.278436.1.0_1.pdf

The judge's decision is the correct one under the circumstances, and a national preliminary injunction is a reasonable way to protect the claims of those who may be subject to immediate removal.

White House: Tren de Aragua Aliens Were Already Removed When D.C. Judge Ordered Block on Deportations

The White House said Sunday that illegal aliens who are suspected members of Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA) had already been removed from U.S. territory when a federal judge in Washington, DC, issued a ruling to block the deportations.

The federal courts outside of the Supreme Court are not the ultimate arbiters of the Constitution.

Uh, the only authorities that trump a federal district court are the appeals court in whose circuit it sits, or the Supreme Court, and the only authority that trumps a circuit court is the Supreme Court.  So unless either a controlling circuit court or the Supreme Court has spoken on a particular issue, then the district court that issues an order or a decision is the ultimate arbiter of the Constitution.

It's fascinating how little real difference there is between most liberals and most self-labeled "conservatives" - they are all willing to violate the rule of law for the sake of their desired political ends.

What is the judge's objection to what the President is doing?

And the two courts that ruled completely opposite on the Treasury case? Who trump's who?
The Republic is lost.
