Excerpt:
President Donald Trump’s decision to hang a portrait of President James K. Polk in the Oval Office isn’t just decor—it’s a bold statement of American greatness that’s got the left trembling. As reported by the Wall Street Journal and shared by @clashreport on X, Trump swapped out Thomas Jefferson’s portrait in February for Polk, America’s 11th president from 1845–1849, who embodied “Manifest Destiny” by expanding the U.S. with Oregon, Texas, California, and the Southwest—one of history’s “largest land grabs,” per historian Hampton Sides. Trump admires Polk’s unyielding vision, telling White House visitors, “He got a lot of land,” signaling a shared drive for dominance.

Good times are coming!

Maybe he respects him but POTUS will win battles in another way!

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
Well, lest we forget, Jefferson pulled off the Louisiana Purchase, which encompassed more land than even Alaska, by 250,000 square miles.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

  • Dems-greatest existential threat to USA republic!
Only thing Trump will get is the Panama Canal.  Forget Canada and Greenland, not going to happen.

No way would Canada agree to be one state.  They have their history, and they would want each province to be a state if they were inclined to be part of the USA, which they are not.  All the Canadians I ever knew thought they were superior to anyone in the USA.  Their egos are huge.  A bit ironic when you consider they are definitely in the shadow of the USA.

I support Trump 100% in his policies with Canada.  I have no problem shutting down trade with them completely if they are holding us up for money all these years.  Past administrations in the USA have been extremely dishonest to not bring abuses in trade to greater visibility and do something about it.

I don't know about Greenland but Canada is in a very fragile state especially since the country slipped into authoritarianism during the pandemic.

Crippling their economy by curtailing trade with the US poses a serious threat to their political stability and could very well fracture the country. Alberta, Sask, and Manitoba being very likely to seek union with the USA and likely as conservative states.
