For the first time in its history, the New York Police Department (NYPD) hosted a Crescent Lighting Ceremony at its headquarters to mark the Islamic month of Ramadan—a significant step in the department’s continued shift toward embedding Islamic identity into law enforcement culture.

The newly concocted Islamic event, which the controversial NYPD Muslim Officers Society organized, was attended by NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, Muslim Officers Society President Captain Waheed Akhtar, and other senior police officials. Together, they pressed an electric button to illuminate a golden crescent in the headquarters’ lobby, an unmistakable symbol of Islam, which will remain lit throughout Ramadan.

During her speech, Commissioner Tisch acknowledged the growing Muslim influence within the NYPD, highlighting the presence of over 3,000 Muslim officers and praising their contributions to the force. She specifically recognized fasting as a core pillar of Islam and extended her Ramadan greetings—signaling an institutional endorsement of the faith within the department.

They say NYPD has about 34K officers total.  Keep adding new Muzzies, when they hit 20% of the work force, look out.  Give me the Irish back.

3,000 muslim NYPD officers (and rising) ??

How many of them secretly hope that the time will come in their careers when they get to enforce sharia law on the public, as well ??
