Climatologist Exposes How Junk Climate Science Drives The Billion-Dollar Fear Machine
by Dr. Matthew Wielicki  Feb 10, 2025

Scientific publishing has long prided itself on rigor… at least in theory. Peer review is supposed to act as a firewall, ensuring that only results meeting strict statistical and methodological standards make it into prestigious journals. [emphasis, links added]

I know this process firsthand, having spent years reviewing academic papers and funding proposals.

Statistical significance is the bedrock of scientific validity, without it, results are meaningless noise.

I have personally rejected many manuscripts that failed to meet these standards, knowing that publishing uncertain or statistically insignificant results only serves to muddy the waters of scientific discourse.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
What Climate 'science' hasn't done to science, COVID did.

Some of the papers' conclusions are astoundingly unsupported, experiments and models poorly constructed, in order to give a predetermined (and paid for) result.
To top it off, I firmly believe the data has been tampered with as well.

We have the capability to do better science than ever before, unfortunately, those who hold what shreds of integrity they have remaining cheap, have not only failed to do so, but soiled the culture of serious and honest scientific inquiry.

Mistakes could be forgiven, honest errors corrected and inquiry would march on, but when the misinformation is intentional and for wealth or fame, that is unforgivable.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
