NEW DELHI: Foreign secretary Vikram Misri on Friday said India has always raised the issue that people, including those who have been deported, should be properly behaved with. Misri's response came on a question regarding the manner in which illegal Indian migrants were deported by the US in handcuffs and shackles.
"We are in touch with the American officials over this. We are in constant touch with them, and we have always said that the people, including those who have been deported, should be properly behaved with," Misri said, adding that more deportation flight will be arriving in India soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if India does the same with criminals - criminals like the ones in the US illegally.

If these Individuals were part of the violent criminals/felons being deported then hell yeah they should be cuffed and shackled for the safety’s of the guards and crew on the plane. Lesson learned, don’t want to be cuffed, shackled and deported? Then don’t enter the USA illegally and violate even more laws.

I dunno about everyone, but if someone breaks into my house and steals my stuff, he should expect to be dealt with a lot more severely than handcuffs.

Well I’m pretty sure as a country, India thinks like you, I seem to recall a little border fracas where some Chinese soldiers tried to assert possession of some border land and the Indian soldiers with some Gurkhas whipped their asses and scurrying home to mamma. So you would think they would understand our protecting our own sovereignty.
