Here's some news: Everyone is autistic to some degree or another. Basic narcissism is an expression of autism and from what I have seen of the internet it is wide spread.

In the past I have managed kitchens and you're right that the people who worked with me found me absolutely inflexible over topics such as sanitation and food safety. No, it is not 'okay' if you leave the fresh fish out for forty minutes prior to cooking it.

Supervised several shooting sports ranges at a scout camp for 5 years. every year we had scouts diagnosed with various levels of Autism. They all had different levels of ability. So we met them where they were.Some needed more supervision than others, but we did what was needed to get them through the merit badge.
