Trump Administration Releases 2,000-Pound Bombs to Israel

The Trump administration — less than one week in power — released 2,000-pound bombs to Israel after former President Joe Biden withheld them.

The administration directed the supply of 2,000-pound bombs to be released to Israel, according to Axios, which cited three Israeli officials, one of whom said the Israeli government became aware of the news on Friday. As a result, the 1,800 MK-84 bombs will be en route soon.

According to Axios, “The hold — which Biden used to protest Israel’s invasion of Rafah — became a political symbol much more than a military operational issue, and was used by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to mobilize Republicans against Biden.”

Yes....and no. This is what Israel needs to destroy some of the complexes there (and perhaps, elsewhere up the money chain).
Hamas, the Houthis (likely) and other Iran sponsored groups have been digging in for decades. Their tunnel complexes likely rival anything the Viet Cong or the Japanese on Pacific Islands carved out. Just imagine how much better the WWII island-hopping campaign would have gone with a few hundred of these.

Arab-Pali terror groups have been diverting construction materials aid from civilian use to tunnel building for decades. The UN, US, and other donor nations have ignored this diversion all along. In all seriousness, I'm surprised Israel's past year and a half of rooting out Hamas personnel and weapons hasn't caused large-scale sink-collapses in sections of Gaza.
