Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, said on Thursday she can't support Pete Hegseth to be President Donald Trump's secretary of Defense. "Given the global security environment we’re operating in, it is critical that we confirm a Secretary of Defense, however, I regret that I am unable to support Mr. Hegseth," she concluded in a lengthy statement posted to X. In her reasoning, Murkowski cited infidelity, "allegations of sexual assault and excessive drinking" and Hegseth's previous comments on women serving in the military.
"The leader of the Department of Defense must demonstrate and model the standards of behavior and character we expect of all servicemembers, and Mr. Hegseth’s nomination to the role poses significant concerns that I cannot overlook."
Charlie Kirk@charliekirk11·17mDon't get distracted by Sen. Susan Collins news about Pete Hegseth. She's been factored into his confirmation math for weeks. He will be confirmed and become the next Secretary of Defense.Stay the course.
Chuck Schumer@SenSchumer30mIt’s absurd that Pete Hegseth's nomination even made it to the floor of the U.S. Senate.

Obviously Murkowski doesn't care about the security of Alaska, so just let the Russians have it back.
Better yet, let’s just give HER to the Russians. I kinda like Alaska.
We can throw in Fauci, too.
No UpChuck, what is absurd, it that you are still in office.
