Not unexpected, but relatively harmless compared to finding out something similar for one of the hundreds/thousands Trump will letting into the administration soon.

Late-night social media lit up once again as President Donald Trump reignited his signature “mean tweets,” this time taking aim at an embattled D.C. bishop in a scathing late-night rant. Posting on Truth Social at 12:39 a.m. (EST), Trump ripped into Episcopal Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde, who spoke at the National Prayer Service earlier Monday.

“The so-called Bishop who spoke at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday morning was a Radical Left hard line Trump hater. She brought her church into the World of politics in a very ungracious way,” Trump wrote.

“She was nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart. She failed to mention the large number of illegal migrants that came into our Country and killed people. Many were deposited from jails and mental institutions.”

He continued, “It is a giant crime wave that is taking place in the USA. Apart from her inappropriate statements, the service was a very boring and uninspiring one. She is not very good at her job! She and her church owe the public an apology!”

Monday’s so-called “bipartisan” prayer service in Washington, D.C. turned into yet another progressive soapbox. Episcopal Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde seized the moment to deliver a liberal plea aimed directly at President Trump and Vice President JD Vance, diverting attention from the intended spirit of national reflection.

With cameras rolling, Budde launched into an emotional speech, imploring President Trump to “have mercy” on various progressive causes, including LGBTQ+ youth and illegal immigrants. Trump and Vance, visibly unimpressed, exchanged glances and appeared to roll their eyes as Budde pressed on with her politically charged sermon.

“Let me make one final plea, Mr. President. Millions have put their trust in you. And as you told the nation yesterday, you have felt the providential hand of a loving God. In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now,” Budde pleaded.

“The people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings, who labor in poultry farms and meat packing plants, who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants and work the night shifts in hospitals, they may not be citizens or have the proper documentation, but the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals. They pay taxes and are good neighbors,” Budde continued during Monday’s speech.

Looks like he Tweeted that after she went on "The View" to double down on her runt-rant. Nothing says "Unity" like bashing Trump and then justifying it with "The View"'s harpies.

AFAIK, she has the same free speech - including political donations - of any other American. Her runt-rant at the prayer service might have been close to the most allowed under 501c3 regs, but I doubt she crossed that line.

After a bishop at the National Cathedral prayer service for the inauguration on Tuesday implored Donald Trump to “have mercy upon” immigrants and LGBTQ+ people, many have spoken out about the remarks – including Trump himself.

In a lengthy social media post early on Wednesday, Trump called the Right Rev Mariann Edgar Budde a “Radical Left hard line Trump hater” adding that “she brought her church into the World of politics in a very ungracious way” and criticized her tone as “nasty”.

Later on in the statement, Trump described the service as “boring” and “uninspiring” and said that Budde and her church “owe the public an apology!”

Budde, 65, who is the first woman to serve as the spiritual leader of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, used her inaugural prayer service sermon at the Washington National Cathedral to appeal to Trump directly.

Just my opinion here, but I am of the mindset that women shouldn't be priests, cardinals, deacons, or bishops.  That's one of the problems in the first place.
