President Joe Biden's recent order means the American flag will be flown at half-staff during President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration, but Trump said we'll have to see about that.

On Sunday, Biden ordered flags to be flown half-staff following the death of former President Jimmy Carter, according to the Associated Press.
 
The proclamation will be in effect for 30 days, ending on Jan. 28.

That means the flag would be flown at half-staff during Trump's inauguration on Jan. 20.

Trump fired off on Truth Social to criticize Democrats over the conflicting issue.

Was the flag flown at half-staff for a month after GHWB's or RWR's death? At all? IOW, is Biden's order unprecedented or simply following recent custom? The article didn't touch on this question.
