I have long been of the opinion that if it is any good, it will come to cable, streaming, or just TV.
I'm patient. I don't have to see the latest (allegedly greatest) by whoever that was, starring what's hisname and what's hername, anyway.
Few actors really stand out, few stories do, and there have been an incredible number of bad movies (as in I couldn't even sleep through them--total loss of suspension of disbelief, technical aspects that were not of this planet, or gratuitous faggotry) and just mediocre unremarkable stuff.
The really good shows should stand out, and a few do, but mainly because of a scattering of actors I can watch deliver lines as if they are living them.
@sneakypete mentioned Britbox, and he had a point. British actors generally
can act, they seem to
not be hired for the size of their implants (best t**ts money can buy!) or their cosmetics, but their ability to portray a character.
Eye candy is nice enough, but since I left my college years, there has to be more or I'm just too damn bored to watch.
So let Hollywood cater to their bubble, and suffocate in it, for all I care.
