Yale University set to teach course entirely on Beyoncé and her expansive legacy
 
Dedicated Bees can finally put their knowledge to the test as Yale University has officially announced they are dedicating a course entirely to Beyoncé.

The prestigious Ivy League college has announced the exciting news that the one-credit course titled "Beyoncé Makes History: Black Radical Tradition, Culture, Theory & Politics Through Music" will be launching in 2025. The one-of-a-kind course will be led by African American Studies professor Daphne Brooks and will explore the powerful influence Beyoncé has made on Black feminist thought and American culture.
 
In the course students will do a deep dive into Beyoncé's many decades in the music industry spanning from her 2013 self-titled album all the way through this year's groundbreaking “Cowboy Carter." Speaking on the decision to create the course, Brooks told The Guardian: "This is the first opportunity I’ve had to focus an entire lecture course on the truly astonishing and marked socio-political and intellectual shift in Beyoncé’s repertoire since her 2013 self-titled album."

For Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Yale should also add a course about Ozzy Osbourne and his legacy, including:

- lead singer of Black Sabbath
- godfather of heavy metal
- Prince of Darkness
- an inspiration for the creation of Tipper Gore's Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC)
- whizzing on the Alamo
- biting the head off a bat
- biting the head off a dove
- disappearing for days after challenging David Lee Roth to a cocaine snorting contest

Has Beyonce done any of those things?

Colleges have fluff electives. The Tractor Driving course my cousin used to teach at UC Davis wasn't exactly a "solid", though at a university with a lot of Ag students, potentially quite practical My cousin's Dad was an orchardist, so he learned to drive tractors when he was growing up. FWIW, I drove my Dad's small Ford tractor and a D4, though I never tried his fly-wheel John Deere or his combines.

My grandfather had a flywheel John Deere. If you could start it, you were allowed to drive it. It was a rite of passage. I learned to drive on a Farmall A, started with a crank.

This is a nothing course. What kind of job would consider passing this course an applicant enhancement? :shrug:
