Physician’s Assistant at Philadelphia Hospital Fired Over Post Wishing ‘Ectopic’ Pregnancies on Daughters of Female Trump Voters

A physician’s assistant at a Philadelphia hospital was reportedly fired over a post wishing “ectopic” pregnancies on the daughters of women who voted for President-elect Donald Trump.

Nicole M. Hart, who previously served as a physician’s assistant in obstetrics and gynecology department at Jefferson Health was reportedly let go from her job at the hospital over comments she made on social media, according to the hospital.

“To every woman that voted for Trump, I hope your daughter has an ectopic pregnancy,” Hart wrote in a social media post.

An ectopic pregnancy is described as a pregnancy where a “fertilized egg implants outside of your uterus, most commonly in your fallopian tube,” according to the Cleveland Clinic.

Ectopic pregnancies can “lead to bleeding in the birth parent,” and is a “life-threatening condition that requires emergency treatment.”

I take it that Ms. Hart is ignorant of the fact that Pro-Life people have zero problems with an abortion for an ectopic pregnancy and the rare other occasions when the mother's life is in danger.

Ms. Hart clearly showed herself unworthy of being trusted to act in all patients' best interests, a health care worker's fundamental duty.

Wife had an ectopic while we were doing IVF, she almost died. It's excrutiating pain and as I remember reading, one of the leading ways to die in childbirth.

Good grief. No PA ever asked me about my political or religious beliefs, but can you imagine if a Mrs. Bernstein Lipshitz were one of her patients? Hart would figure she had carte blanche to treat the lady badly. (Like our rabbi friend whose story I've recounted: had to go to the ER, Middle Eastern ER dr. took one look at his name, asked whether he was Jewish, when the rabbi said yes, the dr. walked out and wouldn't treat him).
