Texas Republicans Have 26 Freshmen House Members and 2 New State Senators

Texas Scorecard by Luca Cacciatore November 6, 2024

Republicans picked up two new House seats and a Senate seat in majority-Hispanic South Texas.

After historic wins on Tuesday, 26 new Republican lawmakers are preparing to serve in the Texas House and two in the Senate.
House Races

Brent Money will represent House District 2. The area encompasses all of Hopkins, Hunt, and Van Zandt counties in northeast Texas.

Money was endorsed by Gov. Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton and beat State Rep. Jill Dutton in the Republican primary on March 5.

Mitch Little will represent House District 65, which covers a portion of Denton County in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Little, an attorney who served on Paxton’s impeachment defense team, received his backing in the primary against State Rep. Khronda Thimesch, who voted to impeach the attorney general.

Phelan will be toast after his last big campaign promise was that his clout for SE Texas as a Speaker.

This term, and being blasted off the Speakers's podium?    Only committee he should be on, is one that studies ways  to recycle dog shit.

Stark reminder that Phuckin Phelan campaigned on being Speaker, that  he would continue to be Speaker, and that clout was needed to keep SE Texas best interest at heart.   Well knowing he didn't have a ghost of a chance in the '25 session Speakership election.   

Well numb nuts....  Your career is over in '26 over these lies, while your nemesis made the Trump short list for AG.  Adios Mofo.
