I voted this morning. It was cool, overcast and lightly raining. I thought it would still be a good time to go because there might not be a long line. I grabbed an umbrella and shawl and my cane. Surprise!! A very long line. Most of the folks in line were my age or older. On walkers, canes or in wheel chairs. (yes, they were escorted to the front of the line or had curbside voting). It wasn't a horrible wait even though I didn't take the option to "go to the front of the line".
But when I came out, the rain had stopped and the sun was shining. The line was twice as long...but peopled by young people. Aside from worrying about a younger liberal voting base...all I thought of was wimpy, wimpy, wimpy, lol. I live in a small red county, so I'm not worried. I just found it amusing.
