Harrowing 911 calls reveal moment glamorous hiker was found murdered on Arizona nature trail

Haunting 911 calls reveal how slain hiker Lauren Heike was found, and her alleged killer spotted after his face was plastered across the news.

Heike, 29, was found dead on the Reach 11 trail in North Phoenix on April 29, 2023, the day after she disappeared during a hike.

Prosecutors alleged she was ambushed on the trail by Zion Teasley, 23, in a random attack, chased to a deserted area, and stabbed 15 times in the back and neck.

Cops who found Heike said she'd been 'chased through or over a barbed wire fence'.

Phoenix Police Department released several 911 calls on Thursday covering the moment Heike's body was found, and tips that followed.

Obviously my condolences to the family.

But, I have to wonder 'Why?' Why do beautiful women insist on hiking and jogging through isolated trails with little or no traffic? What are they thinking? Even after all of the assaults and murders, they still do it. As if nothing happened. Are they stupid?

Yes! It is not fair! Yes! It is a messed up situation! I agree with all that. But the reality we live in today is a "Kamala-Biden new America". It is simply not the same as it used to be. America is now FULL of murderers and rapists from shore to shore. We all have to adapt to this new reality the Democrats have forced on us.

Do not go running/hiking alone and unarmed. It has become dangerous for women. It is a dangerous thing to do for an unarmed man. But it is much more dangerous for women. If you want to risk your life, go skydiving. You will have a much better chance to survive.

Some women trail runners I know either do their runs in pairs or have a medium-large dog and were doing so long before (a decade or more) LIEden.

This particular trail is in the northeast Phoenix and Scottsdale area, on the edge of open desert but near several developed communities. Where she was may be a bit less isolated than the article suggests.
