Romney on possible Trump retribution: ‘I would take him at his word’
by Sarah Fortinsky - 09/25/24 2:48 PM ET

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) said former President Trump should be taken seriously when he pledges to go after his political enemies if elected to another term in office.

“I think he has shown by his prior actions that you can take him at his word,” Romney told The Atlantic staff writer McKay Coppins in an interview published Tuesday.

“So, I would take him at his word,” he added.

The remarks followed a conversation in which, according to Coppins, it became clear Romney had spent some time thinking about Trump’s threats to direct the Department of Justice (DOJ) to go after his political opponents.

Did His Irrelevancy give Trump's actual words, with context? Or was he just wolf-crying? (As if I don't know the answer to that "question")

The only Retribution Romney will ever see is being pushed out into the wilderness and made to stay there.  He's inconsequential.

Willard Mitt "Nacho Libre" Romney, you silly boy, you are irrelevant.

Like with McCain, Romney is embittered by Trump having won the Presidency Romney could not.

I think Trump should 'go after' his political enemies who have committed crimes, just like any other criminal. What I don't see (the need for) is a political witch hunt. There are enough things still within the statute of limitations.

Empty  Trump rhetoric.  He shoots his mouth off almost on a daily basis, and it is all for nothing.

Need I remind you that much of the country wanted Hillary dealt with in the courts for her CRIMES.  He said to let her alone.  Nothing came her way in terms of criminal pursuit.

Biden and his entire family should face enough felonies to land them in prison for life.  But, nothing will happen, except perhaps Hunter.  Joe will certainly skate.

Trump says a lot of things that are pure BULLSH*T!!!  I am still waiting for him to end the H1-b Visa Program that employs 1.6 million low cost foreigners, who displaced USA citizens from their white collar jobs.  So much for caring about Americans.  He has already met with tech billionaires and promised them to once again increase the numbers of recipients for the H1-b Visas.

If Harris' team were worth a good BM, they would take that on as a campaign issue and make the same promise, only promising to deliver versus Trump's empty rhetoric.  It would get her 1-2 million votes in the tossup states and could ice the election for her.

But I believe she intends to ice it via the altering of ones and zeroes in the dark hours following the election, EXACTLY as they did in 2020!!!!!!!  Who takes five days off from campaigning for POTUS?  She just did.  Only someone knowing it is in the bag does such!
