New poll shows Cruz and Allred virtually tied in Texas Senate race
A new poll shows a tight race between Republican Senator Ted Cruz and Democrat Colin Allred in the Texas Senate race.

The polling shows 50 percent of respondents have an unfavorable view of Cruz while 47 percent have a favorable one.
At the same time, 41 percent have a favorable view of Allred while 29 percent have an unfavorable view of him. However, 30 percent of likely voters said they still don't know enough about Allred to have an opinion with just over forty days to go before the election.
TxHPF's CEO pointed out that Rep. Allred has consistently outperformed the top of the ticket.
In the presidential race, the poll found Donald Trump leads Kamala Harris 50 percent to 44 percent in Texas.
