An infographic showing a connection between age, gender, and political affiliation to a mental health diagnosis has sparked debate on social media.

The historic data from a 2020 Pew American Trends Panel study asked respondents whether a doctor or healthcare provider had ever told them that they have a mental health condition.

Results show that white liberal women aged 18-29 were the most likely to have been diagnosed with a mental health condition with 56.3% of respondents answering ‘yes’ in response to the question. This dropped to 27.3% when 18-29-year-old conservative women were questioned.

Are they mentally ill because they are Democrats?  Or are they Democrats because they're mentally ill?

Sounds like that Chicken/egg thingy.

I think the key to less sanity lies in obsession over what other people think of what you think.

Young women might be most susceptible to angst over that, while most of us curmudgeons couldn't care less.

It's power. Women are being told to participate in the male hierarchy. Those who listen to that are liberals. They believe it to be their right and their mission.

The truth is that there are, and always have been two hierarchies... One male, one female, with different rites of passage, hallmarks, ways to ascend, type toward power, and ways to destruction.

All of that is not male. it is not a lesser hierarchy. It is different, entirely. apples and oranges.

Trying to function outside of their instinctive ken is horribly damaging... As those males that choose the other way around also demonstrate. They don't fit either.

They never see the meritocracy side that I can build myself up as an individual via risk, hard work and smarts to become successful, because that doesn't help the collectivist cause. It's only more of Kings and Serfs, but inverted.

That's really true - The only things I would add are the similarities within and although the differences:

There is a 'good ol girl' network too.
And a similar but different female meritocracy.

The hierarchy is 'over there' just like it is here with you and me... Just different. You and Icannot function there, and they cannot function here.

Where the two meet is in simpatico... Syncronicity..
Two different things joined together making a greater whole.
There is love.
