Currently, hundreds of illegal aliens are being housed in Chicago, Boston, and New York airports.U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz is asking Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for more information on how the Biden-Harris administration’s open border policies have affected airport security.
Cruz—the ranking member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee—sent a letter to Mayorkas asking how the Transportation Security Agency is responding to security concerns with illegal aliens traversing U.S. airports.
“DHS, particularly TSA, must explain how it is responding to the serious ways in which the administration’s open border policies are undermining airport security and Americans’ Safety,” reads the letter.
Cruz claims that Biden’s border policies are weakening airport security in three ways. -----
Cruz is requesting that Mayorkas provide answers no later than September 10, 2024.
