How badly does Donald want a second term?

Labor Day is nearing, and this is when people who are going to vote in the upcoming presidential election pay close attention to the remaining candidates.

I am settled on voting for Trump. I wish my confidence were higher in his chances. Since he “came down the escalator” and announced his candidacy in 2015, the Democrats and their allies in big media have been hosing him with the most toxic sewage imaginable. They have impeached him twice, charged him with crimes, and attacked his wealth. He was wounded and nearly killed by an assassin while campaigning on July 13th.

I recently watched an interview with Mr. Trump in which he described his relationship with his older brother, Fred. Trump loved his brother, who had addiction problems. Donald described how his older brother warned him about alcohol and tobacco. It showed me a side of Mr. Trump that we rarely get to see. His love for his brother, his sadness about his brother’s early demise, and his ability to empathize with folks struggling with addictions were clear to see. The interview showed me a real man, not Mr. Nasty.

From the start, my impression is he formed a campaign to make republicans pay his legal bills, to use the calendar as an excuse to stay out of prison, and to pardon himself should he succeed.  Let's not forget the petty scams along the way, including the trading card promotion this week.

His campaign is a tired rehash of 2016, and Gallup is reporting a fourteen point enthusiasm gap.  The lack of energy comes from the top.

Trading cards have been around for awhile.  Ok, we can assume that he's running to save his hide from the witch hunts, but again, we are at the point, either we can vote for a pro-American president or an anti-American president.  Bottom line.  That's what we have in front of us.  Plain and simple.

Also, what’s making the rounds on the news media outside of Fox is his Arlington cemetery stunt.  The picture of him giving the thumbs up over the headstone is going viral

And now Tulsa, Ok will have its first Democrat mayor in 15 years. Democrat enthusiasm is real and motivated

If Trump believed the future of the country were at stake, he would not be scamming the MAGA crowd for digital trading cards, shoes, mugshots, crypto, bibles, "authentic" pieces of his suit, and a dinner at his country club.  Not at Mar-a-Lago, but his place in Jupiter. 

So I'm not gonna be cowed into supporting this traveling con artist yet again, only to have my vote used as justification for another run in 2028.
