Harris ‘closing the gap’ with Trump, still trails by three percentage points: Poll

Vice President Kamala Harris received some good polling news just hours before giving the biggest speech of her life Thursday night when she will accept the Democratic Party’s nomination to run for president.
While the convention in Chicago hasn’t so far given her a big bounce, Harris has chipped away at former President Donald Trump’s lead in national polls. She is now just three points back in the latest Rasmussen Reports survey shared with Secrets.
“Former President Donald Trump still leads Vice President Kamala Harris, but the Democrat continues closing the gap,” said the analysis.
In the new poll, Trump is at 49% and Harris at 46% among likely voters. A week ago, Trump was ahead 49%-45%. With third-party candidates added in, Trump leads 47% to 45% for Harris, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is third at 4%. He is expected to quit the race by this weekend and possibly endorse Trump.
