Don’t blame the climate for unreliable power, blame climate policies that shut down reliable power.

In recent summers it’s become commonplace for Americans to experience electricity shortages, with calls to use less electricity and the frequent threat of brownouts or blackouts.


This is an embarrassment, and it was totally preventable.1

Anti-fossil-fuel politicians will blame our grid’s reliability problems on “climate change,” which is supposedly making it too hot for a grid to operate.

This is absurd; countries with much hotter temperatures than ours, like Singapore, are easily able to have a reliable grid.2

IOW, get rid of what works.

Then whine because there isn't enough electricity nor a grid to put it on.

Well, STUPID should hurt! Unfortunately, it won't hurt the people pushing it nearly as much as the ones they are pushing it on.

The 2 most dependable energy sources (after hydroelectric and geothermal for those who can take advantage of it) are nuclear and coal.

With the radioactive rods on site for nuclear and by building a mountain of coal next to the plant, these are independent of any outside disruptions to bring raw material to a plant and can transmit dependable power at virtually all times.

If one wants reliability of power generation, one concentrates on these 2.

Natural gas brings a somewhat higher risk of disruption yet has a huge advantage over coal in its lessened environmental discharge.
