Blue state ranked most dangerous state to live amid crime, police shortage

A new study shows that the Democrat-controlled state of Washington was recently ranked as the most dangerous state to live in for 2024 due to persistent crime and a major shortage of police officers.

A recent study from WalletHub, which ranked all 50 U.S. states for safety by considering the number of law enforcement personnel per capita, property crime statistics, violent crime statistics, and the number of traffic-related deaths, revealed that Washington state was the most dangerous state to live in this year.

It's a shame that some of the states most blessed with natural beauty - Washington, Oregon and California - are the most hideous in terms of costliness, safety and quality of life. Much as I might want to revisit Yosemite National Park or Mount Hood, there's no way on earth I'd travel there now. You'd think their governors would care, even a little bit.

You sound like my mom who is housebound and depends on what she sees on TV, she thinks its unsafe to go out anywhere in California now. The truth is the vast majority of the state is still okay, outside of parts of L.A., which I don't think most people realize is huge, Sandra shithole, and you have to be aware of your surroundings in a lot of cities all around America and not just   blue states.
I would not be afraid to go to Yosemite or Lake Tahoe, though I would plan my route carefully. That's what I did four years ago when we drove from SoCal, through Oregon and most of Washington to pick up our puppy. Where there areas that we still felt uncomfortable? Yes, but we were not unsafe.

Well, for starters, where are all the cop shows portraying? L.A., NYC, Chicago, San Francisco... But more seriously, It isn't a red state/blue state problem generally, but a Blue city problem and just a question of whether the blue cities have enough population to overrule the rest of the state. Some do, some don't, but the farther you get from the farm, the more prone people seem to be to lapping up the nonsense that the Communists and power criminals offer.

Crime and taxes in California are the primary reasons folks are fleeing the state.  Based on what I saw in California, no city is safe, and the entire San Bernardino Valley is unsafe.  And who wants to pay the outrageous taxes in the state of California.

I live in Georgia, and even here, the taxes are ridiculous.  The day is coming when more and more folks will flee to the five or so states that do not have state income tax.  These Democommie strongholds are in real trouble, and yet, the idiots of these states keep voting for Democommies.  Their collapse is inevitable.
