Hit the road, Don: ramp up the rallies and campaign like it’s 2016
By Daniel McCarthy

If Donald Trump wants to return to the White House, he has to get serious about winning the “ground war.”

Social-media memes didn’t elect him in 2016 — his relentless schedule of campaign rallies did.

But this month the Republican nominee is taking a break from the campaign trail, while the Democrats bask in the publicity of their national convention.

Is this wise?

Trump held 27 rallies in August 2016, according to CNBC, yet this time he has only a handful.

Instead he’s returned to X, the social-media site formerly known as Twitter, for an interview with its larger-than-life impresario, Elon Musk.

Two hours on X is not going to cut it. He needs to get out there and start campaigning..this is his to lose and at this rate it is more likely.

Trump's schtick is stale and hackneyed. The Murdoch family is worried that FoxNews ratings will drop if The Trump Show is cancelled by the voters.

FoxNews, OAN, NewsMax, and GOP billionaire donors don't have a mid-season replacement like the Dems had with Kamala Harris.

It was billionaire Dem donors who replaced Biden with Harris.  Whom would GOP billionaire donors replace Trump with? <cue chirping crickets>  Nobody, because Trump has made the GOP a one horse town - and Trump is that horse.

Elections are TV shows.

Replace "Howard Beale" with Donald Trump and replace "UBS" with FoxNews:

As Trump's 15 minutes of political fame fade, so, the GOP will need to find a new FoxNews hit:

Probably not for you and other Boomers, but the electorate has changed and so must the ways to reach them @mystery-ak

WOAH.

77% of the viewing audience for the Trump X Elon space were aged 34 and under.

This is HUGE. Young voters are turning to Trump.

You can be that Ron DeSantis would be out there campaigning every day.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-
