I'm not one for polls, but perhaps if they keep showing Harris as way ahead, perhaps the DEMS will become complacent and stay home?  Or it could have the opposite affect and people throw in the towel and give up on voting for Trump. It could go either way.

The Bolsheviks did the same thing, only not getting on their bandwagon had more dire results. (If allowed to continue the way things are, that isn't saying the results could not be similarly dire here. After all, there were those who called for people who would not get COVID jabs to be put in camps or even executed for supposedly constituting a public health threat to those who were "vaccinated").

Pretty sure that iterative weighting decisions are one of the major deception tools the industry uses, and we don't.

If you don't like the outcome, it's pretty easy to tack on a new weighting variable like education.  Maybe you get what you are looking for.

No, the other purpose for polls IS the media propaganda effort.

If the polls are manipulated to show Harris ahead when in fact she is well behind then when the Democrats steal the election in November most people will blithely accept it.
