 Two men have been arrested in an ISIS-connected terrorist plot against Taylor Swift's concerts in Austria.

According to international reports, the suspects included a 19-year-old who pledged his allegiance to ISIS and was living with his parents in the town of Ternitz, as well as another man. Both were arrested today after police raided the 19-year-old's home and found various chemicals and substances. Residents of Ternitz were allegedly evacuated and roads were closed during the raid.

The target of the attack was Vienna's Ernst Happel Stadium, where Swift is scheduled to perform tomorrow, Friday and Saturday nights as part of her Eras Tour. Vienna State Police Director Franz Ruf and Police Chief Gerhard Purstl said during a news conference that both men had become radicalized through the internet and apparently had specific plans on how the attack was to be carried out. ...

VIENNA (AP) — Both suspects in a foiled plot to attack Taylor Swift shows in Vienna appeared to be inspired by the Islamic State group and al-Qaida, Austrian authorities said Thursday, and investigators found bomb-making materials at one of their homes. Officials said one of the two confessed to planning to “kill as many people as possible outside the concert venue.”

Three sold-out concerts were canceled a day earlier because of the plot, devastating Swifties from across the globe. Many of them had dropped thousands of euros (dollars) on travel and lodging in Austria’s expensive capital city to attend the Eras Tour shows at the Ernst Happel Stadium, which sat empty Thursday morning as media filmed outside.  ...

Not a fan of her stuff or politics, but I hate like hell to see her venue used by terrorists to make a statement. I hope they get the death penalty, ( I believe that they were looking for Martyrdom anyway.)

I just heard on TV that a 3rd has been arrested.  They are 19, 17, and 15 years old. The 17 year old had secured a job with a vendor and previously had access to the inside of the venue, so the security of the place was already heavily compromised. The 19 year old with the explosive materials had a "blue light" that could be put on top of an automobile to make it look like one that would belong to authorities. Speculation is that explosives would be set off inside the venue and then those that could escape would be running out to more explosives.  Authorities in the US received a tip and alerted Austrian authorities.

I doubt there's any death penalty there, regardless of the magnitude of the crime.
