Trump was supposed to be asked questions for an hour at NABJ. He was pulled off stage after just 35 minutes.

The surest evidence that Trump was doing well. If it was the train-wreck claimed, they would have kept him on for the entire hour.

Good way to understand how well it went today for Trump.

People claiming he did terribly are WRITING posts. No sharing videos. Because the audience was laughing and loving it. Trump was incredibly charming and that’s why they are throwing tantrums on CNN.

You nailed it about "conservatives" like Loomer.  They spread all sorts of ridiculous stories, and then other "conservatives accept them as true and then repeat them because they fit their preferred narrative.   Then, they justifiably get mocked by leftists for saying something stupid.

That's probably how Trump ended up saying something like this.  Repeating some stupid tweet or meme he saw without checking it out first.  FWIW, here's a photo of her father:

Stuck at home and watched this. I actually thought Trump did a pretty good job. He's gutsy even going there. Some bad moments..not a lot imho. Of course it won't be reported that way.

Now, If Kamala agrees to go into an environment that hostile and survive...I'll be impressed. But I'm not too worried about being impressed. No way she'll do that. Even if she did, the media would roast the questioners.

Fox News’s Harris Faulkner said much of the audience enjoyed former President Trump’s interview at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) annual convention Wednesday, despite what she described as “a little bit of contention on the dais.”

Faulkner — who co-moderated the event with ABC News’s Rachel Scott and Semafor’s Kadia Goba — joined Fox News’s Martha MacCallum after the interview to describe the dynamic from inside the room, where Trump’s combative tone at times evoked a negative and animated response from the audience.

Asked for her “behind-the-scenes” take on some of the heated moments, Faulkner first noted some of the backlash ahead of the interview from NABJ members who disagreed that the association should hold an interview with Trump. Faulkner said she was glad to see attendees were mostly pleased that Trump accepted.

“What the nation has seen is this incredible buildup with journalists here reportedly upset because Donald Trump was coming — some of them. And some of them we really hadn’t heard from,” Faulkner said, referring to journalists at the convention. “So what I loved about what you couldn’t see today was how much of that audience was enjoying the moment of hearing from a candidate that they might not always agree with.”

“So for all of that pushback, young journalists that I’m talking to after the event are saying, ‘Well, we’re glad he’s here,’” Faulkner added.

Faulkner later acknowledged that “it did get a little chippy” when the former president sidestepped questions and attributed some of the contention to technical problems that Faulkner said made it difficult for those on stage to hear each other.

“In terms of the former president answering questions, Martha, you and I have both interviewed him. It’s, it’s an interesting journey that you go on, but you’ve got to keep pressing,” Faulkner told MacCallum.

“And there was a little bit of contention on the dais about whether or not he could hear, and when he could hear, would he answer the question,” she continued, referring to Trump.

Should have turned the "black jobs" answer back on the interviewer with this question,  45% of blacks make 30k a year or less, why has that number not improved under Biden Harris? Fact is its gotten worse because of inflation. Inflation caused by Bidenomics.

Indeed so.  In this case though I think it helps him because 1) he showed some big steel balls in going into that particular forum and then telling that reporter off to her face after she insulted him out of the gate, and 2) saying out loud what most everybody thinks but is afraid to say.
