The Biden campaign on Thursday slammed former President Trump's RNC convention speech and vowed to continue on and win the election.

"Tonight, Donald Trump rambled on for well over an hour and failed to mention Project 2025 even once," President Biden said in a statement via campaign chair Jen O'Malley Dillon.

"He failed to mention how he had inflicted pain and cruelty on the women of America by overturning Roe v Wade. He failed to mention his plan to take over the civil service and to pardon the January 6th insurrectionists. He sought to find problems with America, not to provide solutions. But after all, it was Donald Trump who destroyed our economy, ripped away rights, and failed middle class families. Now he pursues the presidency with an even more extreme vision for where he wants to take this country. Trump’s Project 2025 agenda is the single biggest attack on our personal freedoms and way of life ever proposed in modern American history."

“I am running on a different vision. I am running for an America where we defend democracy, not diminish it. Where we restore our rights and protect our freedoms, not take them away. One where we create opportunities for everyone, while making the super wealthy finally pay their fair share. That is the future I believe in and I know it is the future that millions of my fellow Americans believe in too. The stakes have never been higher. The choice has never been more clear. I am more determined than ever to defeat Donald Trump and his Project 2025 agenda in November.”

Joe didn't say that.  Joes staff wrote that and said that.   Joe can't spell his own name anymore and people around him have to wear name tags or get called "The Black Guy"

Biden ‘more determined than ever’ to beat Trump after RNC speech, campaign says

BRETT SAMUELS  -  07/19/24  -  1:03 AM ET

The Biden campaign on Thursday ripped former President Trump’s convention speech as a rambling attempt to mask his “extreme vision” for a second term, while touting President Biden’s intention to stay in the race.

Biden campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon in a statement sought to connect Trump to Project 2025, a controversial policy blueprint from the Heritage Foundation that Trump and his team have aggressively tried to distance themselves from.

“Tonight, Donald Trump rambled on for well over an hour and failed to mention Project 2025 even once,” O’Malley Dillon said in a statement. “He failed to mention how he had inflicted pain and cruelty on the women of America by overturning Roe v Wade. He failed to mention his plan to take over the civil service and to pardon the January 6th insurrectionists.

“He sought to find problems with America, not to provide solutions. But after all, it was Donald Trump who destroyed our economy, ripped away rights, and failed middle class families,” she continued. “Now he pursues the presidency with an even more extreme vision for where he wants to take this country.”  .  .  .

Joe is dazed and confused.  He's angry and determined because I don't think he's cognizant of what's going on. All he knows is they want him to resign and he's thinking he's capable of running the country.  He should have never been elected in the first place.  Perhaps there were some who actually believed he still had the mental acuity to be president.  It's obvious he isn't.

I continue with my prediction of quite some time. They may nominate Harris, but ultimately I believe one of these 3 will either be the DEM nominee or Harris' VP; Big Mike, Valerie Jarret or Susan Rice.

They need the Black vote and I don't think that they have it.

Amnesty still may be on their agenda which would ultimately overwhelmingly outnumber the GOP votes.

If only Trump and Vance would support it.

Sorry about that.  I'll think about it.  What's happened with the car?

I bet ya Subaru still counts it as one of the 96% of their cars sold in the last ten years still on the road :pondering: did they ever say how many times that 96% needed to be repaired? I remember back in the mid 2000's or so I did work on one of the local Subaru dealers showroom and parts department and there were a ton of engine and water pump repairs being done. But back then it was well known they had engine issues, I thought they had dealt with the problems.

All I know is when interest rates come down and I will look for a new car, I will not look for another Subaru.

lol Project 2025.  Have these idiots never heard of the Heritage Foundation?  They publish extensive policy guides every few years.  It’s a wishlist of stuff that never happens.

@Wingnut

Wasn't that one of the model years that was on a TSB for the DCM due to the fact that it was still using a cellphone protocol for which all support dropped for all carriers, so it was essentially trying to "phone home" on a disconnected phone line?

The infotainment system delamination I've read about, and it sounds like it was a real pain.  My now traded-in 2017 passat had a similar issue where, slowly, over the course of several months, half of the touch screen simply stopped working, so I ended up having to figure out how to scroll through the functions using the second radio knob.  If I'd kept that car, the cost would have been $2,000 just for the new head unit.

Do you have an OBDII reader you can use to pull any diagnostic codes relating to the eyesight feature?  There's a forum I've been on for a while that is for Subaru Outbacks and there are a number of technicians and mechanics on there who will give out plenty of really useful advice.  Let me know if you want me to PM you the url for the forum.

Thanks for the offer.  I have the code and know what part is needed.
P1449  Evap Canister.  $40 part. But you have to lower the rear differential to access the part. :(
Ima gonna try and DIY it when it cools down.
