The weird thing is that I may still be a persuadable voter, and I'm surely not unique in that regard.   But every one of your posts actually pushes me further away from voting for Trump.  The tactics you employ, the refusal to acknowledge any errors on his part reminds me of his worst qualities.

I mean, sometimes I think "well, maybe I can support four more years of this idiot because he'll be somewhat better than a lefty, and then he'll be gone in four years anyway".  But then you and a lot of other Trump supporters make a very strong case that the whole MAGA mindset intends a lot more than that, so I think "maybe it's worth suffering through four more years of a Democrat to ensure MAGA is consigned to the ashheap of history.

And that is the heart of my conundrum.  I have to weigh the value of getting rid of Trump and MAGA for good v. the difference between 4 years of Trump and 4 years of Kamala.

I have explained to you dozens of times what Trump could do to earn my vote.  You simply refuse to listen.  And by your staunch defense of everything liberal Trump has done and your recent denigration of the Dobbs decision only goes to show that my hesitation is completely justified.  And the flat-out lies you post about me and my posting history only pushes me away more.

The left and the hardcore MAGA types share an utter blindness as to how their actions actually strengthen the other side.  It's the Left's relentless efforts first to undo the 2016 election, and then to weaponize the intelligence and justice systems against Trump, that lead a lot of people to stand by Trump.  They may not like Trump, but they like what the Democrats have done to him even less.  And the Left doesn't understand that at all.  To the contrary, they are completely puzzled why everyone isn't persuaded by their attacks to abandon Trump.

And many Trumpers are just as bad.  They don't understand that the stuff that amuses and animates them actually drives people away from Trump.  And then they say "I just don't understand why you can't make the "right choice" in a "binary election".   Hey, numbnuts -- you guys are the reason I can't make that choice.

I voted for Trump in both 2016 and 2020, so I don't know where this 8 years stuff is from.

What Trump did after the 2020 election lost me about halfway, but he lost me completely the way he turned on various conservative Republicans in the run-up and aftermath of the 2022 midterms.  At that point, I concluded that he really didn't care about advancing principles and ideas at all, but only himself.

This thread has run its course.  There's nothing new to say and is sliding into a predictable circular firing squad --- at the precise time this is a luxury we cannot afford.  The primary debates are over, the Republican ticket is set and it's time to move our focus and energy to winning in November. The democrats already have --- and they sure aren't arguing over who spilled the milk.

In just the past two weeks we have witnessed the shooting of our candidate and three rally attendees, one fatally, and the removal of the sitting President from his position while leaving his shell in the White House.  A woman who has never received one primary vote, ever, who is by all measurement a communist, is his replacement.  She ascends not by an act of the Congress or a single voter, but by the same shadow government that's been running this country into the ground for more than three years and orchestrated the incessant lawfare against Trump ---- and the shots fired from a rifle with the intent to kill him.

The democrat forces are now lining up ---- all media, news shows, the elected and unelected administrative state, Hollywood, domestic and foreign big money --- to simultaneously shred the Republican ticket and rewrite the hagiographies of the democrat standard bearers.  The democrats have the megaphones and power of the majority.  They are also crazed, soulless and power hungry beyond measure ---- and committed to their goal.

All they need to do now is get the revised democrat ticket to the point of practicable voter fraud.  We are the only ones who can stop them

We should learn from 2020 and resist the urge to fight about conservative bonafides, the meaning of binary, whether or not winners deserve revenge for past primaries, and just how virtuous not voting is in this election.  We can be a formidable force against the democrat forces, all of them ----- but only together.

My objective is a reminder:  We must all hang together, or assuredly we will all hang separately.
