Biden to address Supreme Court’s Trump immunity ruling in White House remarks

President Biden will deliver remarks from the White House Monday addressing the Supreme Court’s decision to grant former President Donald Trump absolute immunity from prosecution for “official acts” during his presidency.

Biden, 81, will speak from the executive mansion’s red-carpeted Cross Hall at 7:45 p.m.

Earlier Monday, a Biden campaign official likened the high court’s ruling to giving the 78-year-old former president “the keys to a dictatorship.”

In its 6-3 decision Monday, the Supreme Court did not rule on whether Trump’s alleged effort to interfere in the 2020 presidential election falls into the category of an “official act,” leaving the question up to lower courts to decide.

A US district court and DC Circuit Court of Appeals had both previously rejected Trump’s absolute immunity arguments.

Since the debate, Biden has made one public appearance, using a teleprompter. He will speak tonight from the WH, using a teleprompter.

The only issue that matters tonight is whether Biden takes numerous questions and speaks extemporaneously.

Any politician who stumbles wants to show they have what it takes. They want to show strength and speak out. If Biden doesn’t take numerous questions tonight, it’s because he can’t do it. Failure to take Qs would be an acknowledgment that he is too old, too frail, and unable to handle spontaneous speaking.

Joe Biden will address the nation tonight after the Supreme Court’s presidential immunity ruling. He’s going to attempt to act like he’s still in charge. He’ll fear monger and say he is now the only one who can “defend democracy” from Donald Trump who, he’ll say, now has a blank check to turn America into a dictatorship, or something. This is obviously untrue in the extreme. SCOTUS delivered a very sensible, narrow ruling that affirmed 40 years of legal precedent that everyone assumed to be true before Jack Smith and Biden’s DOJ worked to throw their chief political rival in federal prison for 700 years. Here’s what Joe Biden won’t tell you tonight: America sees through his spin and projection. Polling shows voters trust Trump to protect our “democracy,” not Biden. This will likely be a vain attempt to act presidential and quell the Democrat oligarchy’s insurrection after his catastrophic debate performance. But it won’t work.
