He needs to be presented or proven as a modern day Chauncy Gardener.
Hey cat, that is an insult to a truly brilliant potential world leader, as indicated in the last scene of the movie
BEING THERE. One of my favorite movies, and a true classic. You have to turn the volume almost all the way up on your TV to hear the fellows carrying the casket at the end of the movie, and they declare, 'our only option is to run Chauncey Gardiner for POTUS'.
Frankly, no exaggeration, I think Chauncey had more cognitive ability than Wrecking Ball Joe last night. Chauncey had some brilliant lines, that were adopted by no less than the president, who repeated, "as long as the roots are not severed, all will be well in the garden". Which was of course taken as a metaphor regarding the economy by the president and his filthy rich buddy Ben.
For those of you who have not seen the movie
BEING THERE, it is a must watch. Watch for it to resurge as folks make comparisons between it and Wrecking Ball Joe.
If you watch the movie, note that it really does not begin until minute 20 or 21. The first 20-21 minutes is a preamble to the movie, so you MUST be patient. One of the funniest movies I have ever enjoyed. Fact is, when I talk to a number of friends, we still use lines out of the movie when we talk to one another, even after years having gone by. The movie was made in 1979 or 1980. Peter Sellers played Chauncey, and it was his finest role IMHO.
How delightful you thought of that!!!!!!!!!!
