CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (TND) — A Harvard Law School student charged with a misdemeanor for allegedly harassing his Jewish classmates is now working for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia.

Ibrahim Bharmal was one of several Harvard students captured on video allegedly harassing Jewish students at the school in November. A crowd of anti-Israel demonstrators chanted “exit” and “shame” repeatedly at various students, who responded with comments like “I live here,” “don’t touch my neck” and “don’t grab me.”

Bharmel is the co-president of the Harvard South Asian Law Students, a student group that signed a statement by Harvard Palestine Solidarity Committee blaming Israel for the terrorist organization Hamas’s war crimes.
