The F-22 Stealth Fighter Has 1 Almost Fatal Flaw It Can't Fix
Story by Harrison Kass • 23h

Summary and Key Points: The F-22 Raptor, the world’s first operational fifth-generation fighter, remains a top air superiority aircraft despite halting production in 2011 after only 195 units.

-Developed during the Cold War as part of the Advanced Tactical Fighter program, the F-22 featured groundbreaking technology and stealth capabilities.

-However, post-Cold War budget cuts led to the end of its production.

-As the U.S. Air Force shifts focus to the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) program, the F-22 will eventually be phased out.

-Aviation enthusiasts should seize the opportunity to witness this technological marvel at airshows before it retires.

That's fewer than the F-35.

Lockheed gets a bigger markup on F-35s than they get for F-22s.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

Since the F-22 has been out of production for over 10 years, Boeing gets zero mark-up on it.

I read through the article twice, and the only “almost fatal flaw” I saw was that it was expensive and Congress didn’t want to spend the $$.

I am not and never have been a leftist.

If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

I guess congress listened to their puppet masters, China and Russia, and defunded it.

I bet Ukraine would take those F-22 Raptors ... and A-10 Warthogs ... and all the other American flight platforms whose pre-mature obituaries have been written by F-35 proponents.

We'll never know until the next hot conflict.
