Contrary to the pop-up-and-ad-infested webpage's - to which I will not go - click-bait title, I totally believe that the store employee or security dude(tte)got disciplined. Stores have had policies against interfering with shoplifter for 2 or 3 decades. It encourages shoplifting but stores' insurers don't want to pay for injured or killed employees. I'm not saying I agree with such policies, but they are older than the clickbait site implies, and there is more thought behind such policies than the clickbait site acknowledges.
