Too big, too complicated, too expensive, and too indefensible in this age of hypersonic missiles and drones.

More subs, cruisers, destroyers, and frigates for sea control and power projection!

The old 'jeep carrier' concept, in league with drone swarms and manned aircraft might be a better option. IF, that is, the control software and frequencies for the drones can be kept secret, but that's a whole 'nother problem.
