It took the Senate just 26 hours to dismiss the Articles of Impeachment of
Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.
The House delivered the articles to the Senate at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 16.
In a series of votes, the Senate completed the process of dismissing the articles
at 4:15 pm, Wednesday, April 17.
The votes were strictly along party lines.
Every R voted to not dismiss, every D (plus the few independents) voted to dismiss.
