Testifying about pitching her story to news outlets in 2016, Stormy Daniels testified her motivation wasn't to make money but to "get the story out."

When asked about approaching Trump directly to purchase the story, Daniels said: “My motivation wasn’t money. It was to get the story out.”

Just before that question, Daniels responded "yes" when asked if at that point in October 2016 was it her focus to sell the story to news outlets.

“I thought he was the father or husband of another woman,” Daniels said, but then added to the jury: “He threatened me to not continue to tell my story.”

She told the court she was supposed to be paid $15,000 for the article in 2011 that was never published.

Stormy Daniels said that Donald Trump and Michael Cohen were interested in buying her story in October 2016, after the infamous "Access Hollywood" tape was leaked, testimony shows.

Daniels was approached by Gina Rodriguez with the proposal that Trump and Cohen wanted to purchase the story.

"They were interested in paying for the story," Daniels said in reference to Cohen and Trump.

Daniels testified that it could've been the "best thing" to happen "because then I'd be safe and the story wouldn't come out."

CNN — Three thousand miles away from his New York legal drama, Donald Trump secured a substantial victory in another court.

The 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals sided with the former president in his effort to recoup additional legal fees from adult film star Stormy Daniels, who had filed and lost a defamation suit against him.

Daniels was ordered to pay Trump’s attorneys just over $120,000 in legal fees. That’s on top of the more than $500,000 in court-ordered payments to Trump attorneys she’s already been ordered to pay.

Daniels had sued Trump in 2018 after he called an allegation by Daniels that an unknown man threatened her in a parking lot to keep quiet about her alleged affair with Trump a “total con job” in a tweet.

Perspective: Sitting front row attempting to figure out how any of this garbage from 20 years ago relates to “legal” bills submitted by a long time personal attorney being booked as a “legal” expense — but I digress.

To be clear, they don’t give a s**t about the merits of this case - the 15 Manhattan prosecutors are sitting at their table and behind in the courthouse pews, giddy by this salacious show.  This is the intent, not the merits, nor the fact that this entire case is a massive extortion play.
