In all fairness, the Edsel was ahead of its time automotively, and the design was a bit radical for the styles that were generally accepted.

EVs aren't ready for prime time, and the whole climate excuse isn't flying.

Put a product out that can compete, on all bases, maybe they'd have more acceptance.

But now you'd still have to overcome the 'If the Government insists you have it, I ain't buying' inertia as well, even if the product was demonstrably better (which it isn't).

Edsels were not subsidized by Federal taxpayer billions of dollars that will make their way into Chinese Communist Party coffers to finance aggression against the United States and its allies.
