Even if a conservative is seated, it won't stop our downward slide. Our downward slide runs deeper than beyond politics. That's why the messianic reaction to first, BHO's candidacy and then Trump's. Now, we are to the point were both parties have no problem with centralized power as long as it's wielded by their strongman. The logical reasons for voting for Trump arent there. It's all emotional  now. Look at the responses from his most ardent supporters here when his illogical proposals and stupid statements are questioned and mocked

No, it's not going to stop it completely, but knowing what DeSantis has done for FL; his record speaks volumes.  He gets things done and he does what he says he's gong to do.  It would be a beginning to help stop our demise.  Do I think he has a chance?  No.  Do I think Trump has a chance? No.  The DEMS have a stranglehold on this country; it's going to take some sort of divine intervention.  Just my opinion.

Something has to give here @LMAO or we will continue to watch our country crumble around us.  Yes, I fully am aware that trying to remedy what's going on from the top down isn't what's needed.  Restructuring this country conservatively from the ground up; state and local levels is what's truly needed. 

When will the pendulum swing the other way?  When every city is like Portland, Seattle, Chicago, San Fransisco, ???? When things start happening in people's back yards; they'll react.  To me it's way too late especially when I foresee when our country collapses another entity like China or Russia takes us over. I know the idea has been scoffed at, but the UN I believe will be all to eager to help.

The pendulum will swing. Eventually, the voters will correct the excess. The GOP lost everything in 2008. In 2010, they took the House and by the end of Obama's term, they dominated the political landscape. The GOP is at a crossroads right now. It's going to take time. And you're right. It's going to have to be rebuild after this election at the state and local level
