Actually, what they wanted was an absence of viable and effective treatments for COVID. Without those, the EUA for the shots stood, and billions of dollars were made. With those, there would have been no Emergency Use Authorization, and the shots would not have been marketable.
As an aside, there would have been much less or no panic, no massive mail-in voting, and the 2020 election would not have been something that could be stolen.
