Agreed.  The problem we are seeing now is that the mission has changed.  Instead of wiping out Hamas, the IDF is now trying to rescue hostages.  Big mistake.

Netanyahu is right.  But he is now facing unsurmountable political pressure to adopt whatever liberal position it takes to appease Hamas into giving up hostages, totally oblivious as to how those people became hostages in the first place.

The ONLY thing these islamo-terrorists understand is brute force.  Netanyahu has negotiated in good faith, only to be rejected because he was not willing to cede all of Israel to Hamas and evacuate every Jew from the Iran-proxy's territory.  And it saddens me that these Israeli protestors can't see that.

At this point, Netanyahu needs to go full blown Keyser Söze on Hamas.  Destroy Hamas.  Destroy anyone who looks like Hamas.  Destroy anyone who owes Hamas money.

Biden, from Beach Vacation: I ‘Worked Tirelessly’ to Bring Hersh Home

President Joe Biden issued a statement Saturday evening that he had “worked tirelessly” to secure the release of Hersh Goldberg-Polin and other murdered hostages, and claimed he would “keep working around the clock for a deal.”

Biden has been on vacation for two weeks — first in Santa Barbara, California, and second in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. It is not clear how he would have been “working tirelessly” or “around the clock” while on vacation.

His official statement follows, with emphasis added.

    Earlier today, in a tunnel under the city of Rafah, Israeli forces recovered six bodies of hostages held by Hamas. We have now confirmed that one of the hostages killed by these vicious Hamas terrorists was an American citizen, Hersh Goldberg-Polin.

    I am devastated and outraged. Hersh was among the innocents brutally attacked while attending a music festival for peace in Israel on October 7. He lost his arm helping friends and strangers during Hamas’ savage massacre. He had just turned 23. He planned to travel the world. I have gotten to know his parents, Jon and Rachel. They have been courageous, wise, and steadfast, even as they have endured the unimaginable. They have been relentless and irrepressible champions of their son and of all the hostages held in unconscionable conditions. I admire them and grieve with them more deeply than words can express. I know all Americans tonight will have them in their prayers, just as Jill and I will. I have worked tirelessly to bring their beloved Hersh safely to them and am heartbroken by the news of his death. It is as tragic as it is reprehensible. Make no mistake, Hamas leaders will pay for these crimes. And we will keep working around the clock for a deal to secure the release of the remaining hostages.

Biden has been keeping a low profile since dropping out of the presidential race in late July.

Goldberg-Polin was a dual U.S. and Israeli citizen. His body was found on Saturday in a tunnel underneath the city of Rafah, in Gaza, together with that of five other hostages. They had been shot in the head in the previous 48 hours, before Israeli soldiers could rescue them.

Israeli officials released new information about the deaths of six hostages who had been kidnapped by Hamas terrorists last October, revealing horrific details about their final days in captivity.

An examination carried out by forensic experts found that after they had survived more than 10 months in Gaza, the six hostages were killed by Hamas terrorists between Thursday and Friday morning, according to the Israeli Health Ministry. They died from multiple close-range gunshot wounds, the ministry said.

Israel Defense Forces spokesman Nadav Shoshani said their bodies were discovered in a tunnel in Rafah, a city in the southern region of the Gaza Strip.

Five of the hostages, including Israeli American citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin, had been abducted from the Nova music festival during Hamas’s brutal terrorist attack in Israel on Oct. 7. The sixth hostage was taken from a neighboring community.

Hamas terrorists filmed the six Israeli hostages before executing them last week — a gruesome reminder of the tactics of psychological warfare once used by ISIS.

The Jerusalem Post reported:

    Hamas has released a video on Telegram on Monday showing the six recently slain hostages speaking into a camera, while also announcing that it will release their “last message to the world” before they were killed.

    In the video, all six hostages whose bodies were found by the IDF [Israel Defense Forces] on Sunday are seen confirming their identities before cutting to a still frame threatening to release their “last messages.”

    The video ends with a threat to release the message in the coming hours.

As Breitbart News noted, the six hostages were murdered in cold blood before they could be rescued by Israeli soldiers. They included American-Israeli hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi, and IDF Master Sergeant Ori Danino. All six were executed by being shot in the head.

The family of one hostage, Eden Yerushalmi, approved the release of a portion of the video in which she talks about how she loves her family.

Gregory Meeks (D-NY) said that President Joe Biden “is starting to say that he’s going to reveal some of those other things and who he believes is at fault or preventing a ceasefire here” and “Hamas may have some responsibility and Netanyahu has some responsibility.”

Meeks said, “I know that the President has been having some tough languages and tough words with the prime minister, behind the scenes, for a while, and things that have not been necessarily reported and some that are still classified, but there has to be continued pressure. And we heard Secretary Blinken say, recently, that, if something didn’t happen soon, he and the President will start talking about who is at fault, on both sides, whether Hamas, or in this case, the prime minister. So, I think that what you hear is the President’s frustration coming out, and, as opposed to having some of those negotiations and those talks that were taking place behind the scenes, it seems to me that the President is starting to say that he’s going to reveal some of those other things and who he believes is at fault or preventing a ceasefire here, whether it — on both sides, Hamas may have some responsibility and Netanyahu has some responsibility.”

Meeks added that we must ensure that “Hamas does not continue the threat that it poses to the American people and to the Israelis, as well as to the Palestinians, and Hamas cannot govern in Gaza. So, that’s all part of these negotiations that [are] taking place.”

He concluded, “I think that we’re getting close to the point where the President will be able to discuss, more openly, exactly where we are and who is withholding an agreement, whichever side that is. So, I can’t say more than that, based upon how I was briefed on this, but I think that we need to get all that information out.”

Recordings released on Monday reveal a tense and angry conversation between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Rabbi Elhanan Danino, the father of hostage Ori Danino, who was murdered in captivity and his body returned to Israel last week.

"Forgive me, forgive me, but you’ve been in power for many years,” Danino said. “The concrete and the dollars went into [Gaza] on your watch,” he added, a reference to suitcases of cash that Israel allowed for years to enter Gaza from Qatar, and to the construction materials that were used to build hundreds of kilometers of tunnels, which were allowed to enter the Strip.

Danino accused Netanyahu of “sitting quietly for 15 years and not doing anything,” since Hamas seized control of the Gaza Strip, which the prime minister quietly denied.

“You equipped them with swords!” he said, which Netanyahu also denied.

The United Nations frenziedly condemned a new Israel Defense Forces (IDF) strike as one of Israel’s “dramatic violations of international humanitarian law.” The problem is that the UN workers killed were also Hamas terrorists.

The UN and many other organizations and governments love to emphasize that the IDF strikes schools and “aid workers.” What they are not telling you is that Hamas jihadis have long used schools and other “civilian” buildings in Gaza as terrorist bases and that the “aid workers” almost always turn out to be active terrorists. That appears to be the case once again with the IDF strike this week, where at least three UNRWA “workers” killed were Hamas jihadis.

UNRWA is absolutely infested with Hamas operatives, according to international human rights lawyer Hillel Neuer. As JihadWatch has noted, terrorists specifically place military targets in humanitarian zones so that, if IDF strikes, they can immediately condemn Israel. So whenever the UN starts wailing that the IDF causelessly killed their humanitarian workers while they were operating a school or shelter, always fact-check that claim. According to the state of Israel, which is a more reliable source on these topics than is the Hamas-loving UN, so far the confirmed casualties in the precision strike are terrorists — including at least three UNRWA “workers.”

The Arab Palis in Gaza do not have an official military. That means every resident in Gaza is a "civilian" and every building in Gaza is a "civilian" building/facility. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to “exact a heavy price” from Iran-backed Houthis after the Yemen-based terrorist group fired a missile at central Israel.

Air sirens were sounded across Israel on early morning Sunday when a ballistic missile entered the country’s airspace. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in a press release identified the projectile as “a surface-to-surface missile” fired “from Yemen toward Israeli territory.”

The missile fell apart as Israel’s Arrow and Iron Dome aerial defence systems tried to intercept it. The Houthi “missile most likely fragmented in mid-air,” the IDF said.

Parts of the missile fell a few miles south-east of Ben Gurion airport, outside Tel Aviv. The falling debris landed in “an open area near Ben-Shemen, some six kilometers from Ben-Gurion Airport,” the Jerusalem Post noted. Some shrapnel from the missile fell on homes and buildings in central Israel, social media posts suggest. No casualties were reported.

Hezbollah confirmed its head of military operations, Ibrahim Aqil, was killed on Friday in an Israeli airstrike on a southern Beirut neighborhood. Lebanon's health ministry said at least 12 people were killed and dozens more were wounded.

The big picture: The strike in Beirut is further escalating the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah, risking an all-out war.

• The IDF said Aqil was the head of Hezbollah's military operations and the commander of the elite Radwan Forces, and claimed he was in charge of a plan to invade northern Israel. He was killed along with other commanders in his unit, the IDF said.
  
  
• An Israeli official claimed the senior command of the Radwan forces — about 20 commanders — were killed in the strike.
  
  
• IDF spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said in a press conference that Aqil and the Radwan unit commanders were killed as they held a meeting under a building.
